What is TRE?

Tension and Trauma Release Exercises (TRE®) are a series of simple movements designed to evoke a natural tremoring response in the body. These tremors are the nervous system's own mechanism for releasing deep muscular tension, the same process observed in animals after a threatening experience.

Developed by Dr David Berceli and used by millions globally, TRE® is a safe, accessible, and evidence-informed self-help tool that works alongside therapy, or as a stand-alone practice.

No prior experience or specific level of fitness is needed. Sessions are available in-person in Durbanville and online from anywhere in South Africa.
